WHY CALCIUM IS IMPORANT?

Calcium is the second most common intracellular cation in our bodies, i.e. a molecule with a positive charge that is an extremely important part of our bones. An adult woman has about 1000 g and man 1200 g of calcium in their bodies of which 99% can be found from bones and teeth.

Calcium is needed for structural functions belonging to bone tissue, teeth and other tissues,

metabolism of tissues ensuring the normal permeability of blood vessel walls, normal functioning of muscles, blood clotting, regulating blood pressure and blood cholesterol level, normal functioning of kidneys and nerve impulses.

The most common problem due to lack of calcium is softening of bones and bone tissue. Vitamin D also has a great role here.
