Natural cosmetics based on Estonian nettle extract
Vitamin C – the secret to beautiful, radiant skin
Vitamin C is a favorite among dermatologists, and for good reason! It is a potent antioxidant, meaning it counteracts the effects of free radicals—such as those from air pollution—that cause oxidative stress and with which our skin comes into contact daily.
These same free radicals damage our skin and cause signs of premature aging. In skincare, vitamin C is used to brighten and even out skin tone, reduce pigmentation, act as an anti-aging ingredient, and minimize blemishes.
Vitamin C
We use a stabilized form of vitamin C certified by Ecocert—ascorbyl glucoside—which is gentler on the skin and does not cause irritation compared to other forms of L-ascorbic acid. Ascorbyl glucoside is the form of vitamin C that has demonstrated the best results in clinical studies.
Organic wild Estonian nettle
In collaboration with the Estonian University of Life Sciences, we developed an Estonian nettle extract for the first time, made from Estonian grown, certified organic stinging nettles. The extract is produced at an optimal concentration to ensure the highest content of antioxidants and polyphenols.
Water based
The vitamin C range is a water-based skincare line suitable even for problem skin, as it contains no pore-clogging—or comedogenic—ingredients. In fact, several of its ingredients work exceptionally well for problem skin by reducing sebum production and inflammation.
Innovative packages
We have packaged the products in airless pump bottles that protect them from oxygen and contaminants. The serum comes in a glass pump bottle—the first and only one of its kind in the world to hold Ecocert Greenlife certification. The serum’s smart bottle detects when the product is running low and allows the pump to be opened. Both the serum and the creams are contained within a small pouch inside the bottle.
High concentration of active ingredients
You will find a wealth of active ingredients in our products, as these are precisely what the skin needs. Water-based cosmetics typically use purified water mixed with active ingredients and excipients; however, we have largely replaced the purified water with organic aloe vera and birch sap.
Recognized by Estonian Allergy Association
The vitamin C skincare range is ideal for both women and men! We do not use synthetic fragrances—such as perfumes—or essential oils. The scent of the vitamin C products arises naturally from the combination of active ingredients and excipients, making them perfectly suitable for men as well. The vitamin C moisturizing creams are also recognized by the Estonian Allergy Association.

The vitamin C skincare line was developed in collaboration with Tallinn University. We also manufacture all our products in Estonia.

Clinically & dermatologically tested
The entire vitamin C product line has been clinically and dermatologically tested. The effects of the serum and creams on the skin were studied over a two-month period in collaboration with a dermatologist.
The aim of the serum study was to determine its efficacy in reducing skin pigmentation, evening out skin tone, and diminishing superficial signs of aging.
During the clinical studies of the creams, we analyzed the subjects' transepidermal water loss (TEWL) and measured the moisture levels of the skin surface (stratum corneum). In addition, a dermatologist conducted an examination at the start of the study and two months after the use of the creams.
Serum:
- lightened pigmentation
- softened fine lines under the eyes
- facial skin was clearer and had fewer blemishes than usual during use
- reduced the occurrence of milia (small white skin cysts).
Eye, day, and night creams:
- moisture levels in the skin on the cheeks and under the eyes increased during use
- skin elasticity improved
- skin oiliness and texture became more even
- the creams reduced fine lines, leaving the skin firmer and smoother
- skin flaking observed in one subject subsided
- fine dilated capillaries on the cheeks of one subject became lighter
- blemishes on the cheeks of one subject decreased
- pigmented spots on the chin resulting from previous pimples (observed in one subject) became lighter and less inflamed
- papules and spots on the cheeks of one subject decreased.
In summary, the skin hydration of the subjects improved over the two-month period. Skin dryness, roughness, and flaking subsided; skin texture became smoother and more even; and the skin became firmer. It was also observed that fine lines became shallower, spots lightened, and blemishes decreased and became less inflamed.
Active ingredients
Vitamin C – in a stable and effective ascorbyl glucoside form. An antioxidant that brightens the complexion and evens out skin tone. Known as an anti-aging ingredient that reduces pigmentation.
SOD – superoxide dismutase enzyme. A powerful antioxidant also found in our cells, though cellular levels decline with age. Offers remarkably strong protection against aging and cellular damage. One of the most highly valued and prized ingredients in skincare products.
Hyaluronic acid – an ingredient renowned in the cosmetics world for its exceptional moisturizing capabilities. Thanks to its superb hydrating effect, it helps smooth out fine lines and accelerates the healing of scars. Suitable for all skin types, including problem skin.
Tamarind polysaccharide – studies show it provides even more powerful hydration than hyaluronic acid. Effectively restores moisture levels in dry skin. In our products, it works in tandem with hyaluronic acid to deliver an exceptionally strong moisturizing effect. A clinically tested raw material!
Xylitol – produced in an eco-friendly manner in Finland, this xylitol is also a clinically tested raw material. Xylitol helps maintain skin moisture levels and preserve the diversity of the skin microbiome.
A blend of lactic acid bacteria, green tea, caffeine, and pomegranate extract—a clinically tested combination featured in our eye cream—helps reduce all signs of aging around the eyes, including wrinkles, puffiness, and dark circles. It also tones the skin for a more youthful appearance.
Gluconic acid fermented from prickly pear—PHAs (polyhydroxy acids) are gentler acids suitable even for those with sensitive skin. The PHA used in our night cream is a clinically tested form of gluconic acid that activates collagen formation and cell renewal. Alongside cell renewal, PHAs like gluconic acid can boost collagen production; exfoliation stimulates skin fibroblasts to produce collagen, a process that helps generate new skin cells more effectively.
Active ingredients from extracts – natural beauty elixirs
Plant extracts are highly valued ingredients in natural cosmetics due to their powerful antioxidant properties. Antioxidants protect the skin against the harmful effects of aging, UV radiation, and environmental pollution.
Estonian stinging nettle extract – a true local powerhouse elixir developed in collaboration with the Estonian University of Life Sciences using wild, organic Estonian nettles. Its antioxidants and silica protect the skin from aging and help maintain natural collagen levels, as silica is essential for collagen formation. Additionally, the quercetin found in nettle extract helps reduce the breakdown of existing collagen fibers. Stinging nettle extract is also ideal for problem skin, thanks to its sebum-regulating and anti-inflammatory effects. Our stinging nettle extract is a clinically tested ingredient in its own right!
Kakadu plum extract – a fruit boasting the world's highest natural vitamin C content! Thanks to this high vitamin C content, the extract helps reduce pigmentation and even out skin tone. Kakadu plum extract also helps lock in moisture and soothes skin irritation, aided by its natural zinc content.Our Kakadu plum extract is also a clinically tested ingredient in its own right!
Spirulina extract – an algae extract containing proteins and amino acids that help the skin produce collagen. Collagen, in turn, gives our skin elasticity and a firm appearance. Like other extracts, this algae extract offers a potent antioxidant effect, protecting the skin against premature aging and the impact of environmental pollution.
Witch hazel extract – a plant-based extract with anti-inflammatory and sebum-regulating properties. It is particularly popular in skincare for problem skin because it contains tannins that help reduce pore size. Since witch hazel extract also helps control excess sebum production, it is a highly sought-after ingredient in products designed for problem skin.
Round-headed bush clover (Lespedeza capitata) extract – arguably the most valuable ingredient in our night cream. This extract is renowned for its unique ability to restore the skin's biological rhythm and protect it from the blue light emitted by digital devices, which accelerates the aging process. It contains two flavonoids—carlinoside and isoschaftoside—that are directly linked to regulating circadian rhythms and, crucially, help shield the skin from screen-generated blue light. The extract helps reduce signs of skin fatigue, boosts the skin's cleansing processes, offers protection against oxidative stress, inhibits blue-light-induced oxidation, enhances radiance, and improves microcirculation. And, of course, this extract has undergone its own clinical testing!
Prickly pear extract with jojoba oil – Prickly pear extract is valued for its antioxidant and restorative properties, making it a perfect fit for our vitamin C range. Jojoba oil provides a softening and soothing effect. Contrary to its name, jojoba oil is actually a wax. The combination of these two ingredients helps protect the skin against environmental factors, and clinical studies have also shown the extract's ability to slow down cellular aging. In fact, this extract has also undergone separate clinical testing!
